Teresa Putnam, Director of Lifespan Faith Development

(517) 351-4081 ext. 104

With just a few visits to the church, Teresa Putnam and her family discovered Unitarian Universalism and quickly became members in 1988. After volunteering on the Religious Education Committee and in the preschool class with her children, she became the part-time Religious Educator in 1993. That position has steadily evolved, and Religious Education is now Teresa’s full-time career. Her responsibilities have grown to include programming for the lifespan in our congregation.

Teresa oversees and supports almost 70 volunteers. She works with two Religious Education committees to produce faith development and community building experiences, classes, and adventures for children, youth, and adults. She can be found at church most Sundays and during the week Tuesday through Friday.

Teresa devotes early mornings to her spiritual practices of yoga, meditation, and jogging. She enjoys movies, traveling, and baking chocolate desserts. Her husband, Ralph, is an active church volunteer and enjoys singing in the choir. They have two adult UU children who have fond memories of growing up and being with their friends at UUCGL.
