Parking

When the church parking lot is full on Sunday mornings, there are other parking alternatives. We encourage you to leave spots in the church lot for people with mobilty issues. If you are willing and able, we recommend these other parking locations:

East Lansing Public Library lot: Just a few steps across Library Lane. Please be mindful that the library opens at 1:00 p.m. on Sundays, and you need to leave the lot by that time.

Gunthorpe Plumbing: Just west of Abbot Road. From Abbot Road, turn west on Centerlawn just south of Library Lane, then north into the parking lot. When walking to and from your car in the Gunthorpe lot, please use the sidewalk on Centerlawn, not the lawn between the buildings on Abbot Road.

East Lansing High School Staff and Evening Program parking lot: We have informal permission to park in this lot on Sundays. It is east of the church, across Grove Street, down the path on school property and then to the right past the trees. This lot is less than a five-minute walk from our front door. However if snowy and/or icy conditions prevail, you are urged not to park in this high school parking lot on Sunday mornings due to liability concerns of the East Lansing School Board and for your own safety.

Special events: If you come to the church for funerals, weddings, and other special events held on days other than Sunday, arrangements are usually made in advance for extra parking at the All Saints Episcopal Church directly to our south. To enter All Saints Episcopal parking lot, turn east from Abbot Road. Signs are usually posted for these events. Please do not park in the East Lansing Public Library lot when the library is open, and only use the All Saints lot when signs at our parking lot so indicate.
