May 2026 Board Meeting

We have an Interim Minister! As announced on Sunday May 31, negotiations and formal documentation are now completed. And Reverend Roger Bertschausen will be joining the church as our Interim Minister on September 1, 2026.

After the Sunday May 10 information meeting spirited discussion regarding the unhoused encampment on church property, the board issued a call to action, creating the Housing for All team, to be led by Lynn Scott and Michael Daeschlein, with a Board liaison.

There was an update from the ad hoc Board Governance Committee, which has been discussing potential changes in the Board Policy Document that will improve collaborative culture, communications, and responsiveness, while maintaining clarity in decision-making authority. 

Though the board has typically cancelled the July meeting, this year the board has decided to hold a meeting on zoom on July 21 at 6:00pm (third Tuesday instead of usual fourth Tuesday).
