May 2025 Board Meeting

At the May 28th UUCGL board meeting, we…

…chose a team (Barbara Stoddard, Marge Weldon, Ned Jackson) to meet together with the Minister to devise formats, questions, recruiting strategies, and record-keeping practices for small-group discussions with congregants. The goal of this effort is to reach out to ALL congegants to hold conversations in small to medium-sized groups (~3-7) along with two board members, one facilitating discussion, the other taking notes. So far, the times being considered are in the hour(s) after church on Sunday, but as interest and preferences emerge, other time slots will be created. 

…decided that the executive team (Laura Ray, Jen Blum, Ralph Putnam, Ned Jackson) should meet weekly as we navigate building upgrades/repairs and changes in usage patterns among UUCGL, RDC, SCK, etc. 

…adjusted policy 3.1 “Treatment of Members, Friends, and Visitors"

…reviewed and discussed the Minister’s report on progress toward ends 1) “Travel our life and spiritual journeys with integrity, and (2) "Articulate our Unitarian Universalist faith identity, share it with succeeding generations, and live it courageously in the world."

…agreed to review progress toward ends 3-5 in the June meeting.
