As we welcome a new church year and embrace our new interim minister, we invite you to participate in this year’s annual Pledge Drive with the theme "New Beginnings." This season of renewal calls us to reflect on how we can deepen our connections and generously fund the love, support, and programs that sustain our spiritual home.

Your pledge helps support:

inspiring worship services and rich music programs
building authentic supportive relationships throughout our congregation
faith development for all ages – from young children to adults
local justice initiatives and strengthening community partnerships
operations, staffing, and care of our building and grounds

When and how do I pledge?

Please make your pledge of financial support for the 2027 budget by October 4, 2026. You do not need to make a payment at this time.

Click here to download and print a pledge form (copies also available at the Sunday Pledge Drive Table or church office). Once completed, you can drop it off at the Sunday Pledge Drive Table or mail to the church office (5509 S. Pennsylvania, Lansing, MI 48911).

Why Your Response Matters

Our annual pledge drive provides the primary foundation for our church’s yearly budget, directly sustaining the music, justice work, lifespan faith programs, and operations that make our community a sanctuary. Your timely response allows us to plan responsibly and set an accurate budget for the year ahead.

We recognize that these are financially uncertain and challenging economic times for many in our congregation. Please know that every gift, regardless of size, makes a meaningful difference and is deeply appreciated. Even if a financial pledge is not possible for you right now, returning your response form lets us know you are actively connected and walking alongside us in this shared journey.

How much should I pledge?

As UUs, we never dictate an amount for your pledge. We invite you to be as thoughtful and generous as possible in making your pledge. To help you determine how much to give, see this helpful Giving Guide.

When and how do I pay my pledge?

You will have the entire year of 2027 to fulfill your pledge and can divide it up by week, month, quarter, or pay it all at once. Please be certain to indicate that the donation is for your 2027 pledge. You may …

Give online at uulansing.org, where you can set up recurring donations, or make a one-time donation. You can also give from your checking or savings account, or use your credit card.
Submit a check by mail or on Sundays in the collection basket; write ‘2027 Pledge’ in the memo line.
Pay with cash on Sundays, using a donation envelope from the usher cart or seat pockets.
Use your own bank’s automated service; contact your bank to make arrangements.

What if I can’t fulfill my pledge?

Life happens. Our lives change. If you need to revise your financial commitment at any time, please contact our Administrator, Katherine Patton, at kpatton@uulansing.org or call her at 517-351-4081 ext. 6. All information about individual pledges is strictly confidential. We appreciate you communicating with us. It helps us to budget more accurately.
