February 2026 Board Meeting

Splinters from the Feb 24 2026 Board Meeting 

• A letter from a congregant asked for review of the Building Use Policy (version dated 9/8/2016 recently added to website); a group of Board members will do that.  

• Planning for the March 8 Congregational Meeting was discussed. Agenda items included election of delegates to General Assembly and Regional Assembly.  An informational meeting/conversation was also planned, to take place after the business meeting. 

• Draft Minutes from the November 17, 2025 Annual Congregational Meeting were reviewed, revised, and recommended for approval at the March 8, 2026 Congregational Meeting.  

• The date for the 2026 Annual Congregational Meeting was set for November 15. 

• Board meetings for 2026 will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month except for Nov 10 and Dec 15. 

• The board is exploring the advantages and practicality of in-person rather than Zoom meetings (held on Tuesday evenings). As a first example, the March 24 Board meeting will be held in person in the Chapin Room. 

• The ad hoc Board Governance Committee reviewed proposed changes to the Board Policy Document (delete 1.11 and revise section 2) that were discussed at the January meeting.  Changes were approved by consensus, and will be posted soon on the church website. 

• The 2026 Annual Congregational Survey is currently being assembled by the Survey Team.  The final version is expected in mid-March, to be distributed online (and on paper for those who request it) in the following weeks.
