Summary (Splinters) from the Board — October 27 Board meeting
1. An ad-hoc Board Committee has been established to update the Safe Congregation policy document. Rev. Roger with board members Amy Geishert and Ned Jackson will recruit and work further with a team of interested congregants on this essential resource, drawing on the UUA's recently updated guidelines and reference materials.
2. The Board has established an ad-hoc committee to gather ideas and planning information for our grounds (Grounds Planning Group -GPG). So far, Elizabeth Fedorchuk and Evy Jackson have agreed to be co-leaders/organizers of this essential group, and we are looking for one more to join them in that organizing role, to bring congregants together to assemble the best ideas and plans. High on the list, a key project for the GPG will be to consider how "the hollow" (former encampment area) can be put to use and maintained to benefit the church and its partners.
3. The Board discussed planning for the Annual Congregational Meeting, scheduled for November 15, 2026 at noon.
4. The Board continues to have Board members scheduled during coffee hour most Sundays to talk with congregants.
